Charities In Philippines

Before young people can get a college education, they have to face the torment of daily life when fate had them be born in unfavorable conditions. In the Philippines, the situation children are in is quite alarming. According to a report by the Council for the Welfare of Children, published in 2012, more than 40% of children there live in high poverty, and in some areas less than 30% of children have access to clean drinking water. Still according to that same report, many children require protection against various forms of abuse. Refusing to look the other way when faced with this situation, CIBEC decided to contribute to solving this problem by offering donations to poor children through the Silong Tanglaw Foundation which is a non-governmental organization located in the suburbs of Manila, the capital of the Philippines. This foundation protects disadvantaged children from social manipulation and inhumane exploitation, so as to preserve their innocence and to socially rehabilitate them by strengthening their physical and moral health, which increases their strength in facing the challenges of daily life. This way, CIBEC fulfils its social responsibility by donating part of its revenue to charities such as the Silong Tanglaw Foundation.
