CIBEC is an excellent program when it comes to performance. This means that it will only finance projects that have been proven to be feasible and for which profitability is assured.
Eligibility:
The program is open to all those residing in Canada or elsewhere that have an innovative idea that could lead to a business with a positive yield. If you are from the outside of Canada, you should be doing business in Canada to be eligible.
Registration:
Registration to the program is simple. You fill out a form that takes less than a minute of your time and that is available on every page of our website.
Financing:
CIBEC proposes financing that can reach up to $200,000 depending on the potential of the projects such as its capacity to generate income, the number of employees necessary for its launch and its development.
Selection:
The selection is done in three stages:
- First, the candidates register and pay the selection fees of 400$CAD, which corresponds to the treatment of the file and also serves the purpose of showing the degree of belief that one has towards his own potential. At this stage, the demands are received and treated. Only those that are well presented and practicable with a potential for great performance will go on to the next step. If your demand is not accepted at this stage, CIBEC will reimburse you 80% of your fees, which equals to $320.
- If your demand reaches the next step in the process, you will be invited to present to a panel of experts forming the selection committee. You do not have to travel to the main office of CIBEC. All depending on your availabilities, you could do a presentation by video-conference or simply record the presentation and send it to us. A period of questions will follow your presentation. At this stage, you will either be admitted to financing, or we will propose our resources (marketing, managing, coaching, financing, bookkeeping, computer technologies, etc…) to improve the potential of your proposition. If your demand is not accepted at this level, we will reimburse you 50% of your fees.
- The third step is financing. Our experts will meet with you to discuss the final conditions of payment and management.
